CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) is an independent nonprofit organization that provides accreditation services worldwide.

This program is designed for those pursuing or considering CARF accreditation in the area of Assistive Technology Support and Services. Participants will gain valuable insight into the accreditation process and strategies to prepare for a survey.

Dawn Hameline has 25 years of clinical practice experience ranging from Veterans Administration to the private sector, neuro to ortho. She currently practices as an Occupational Therapist and Assistive Technology Professional in Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Vermont Medical Center serving an outpatient population.

Melissa Oliver, MS, OTR/L

Melissa Oliver is an Occupational Therapist and the Assistive Technology Program Coordinator at McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia where she facilitated the PM&R Service obtaining CARF re-accreditation for 3 years. She specializes in areas of electronic cognitive devices, adaptive computer access, learning technologies and electronic aides to daily living. Ms. Oliver received a BS in Psychology and Business Administration from Mary Washington College and her MS in Occupational Therapy from Shenandoah University.
